Caste-divide!!!

Read this & this today..

Somehow the partial journalism is not very shocking as it should ideally have been..all this corruption that surrounds us has just dulled our ethical reflexes to such levels.. definitely not proud of it..
everywhere you turn around there's something happening that dents the "i-am-proud-of-my-country" feeling.. its is in the hands of people who just keep filling their coffers & emptying our's.. more taxes for what joy? same old roads...infrastructure development at a snail's pace.. snatching opportunities from the meritous..
how can you but not lose faith in the system when you read about this every single day..
how can you but not nurture thoughts of running away from it all..
On the other hand that would be escapism..
Any change that happens needs to be started at the grass root level.. every one of us has to change.. but with the lines already being drawn.. do we still stand a chance?

Damn good! How did ya come across these articles? Yeah, that's the problem with the press... not just in India though.

Flashback: I was working for a production house in London, making a TV Documentary on the international human organs trade. We made the film completely based on a year and a half's research and follow-up on subjects, and what happened? Editors from Discovery (Europe) fussed us around wanting to remove a few bits here and a few bits there. In the end they even put a disclaimer which stated that they didn't necessarily approve of all the content in the film- and this disclaimer came on at every ad-break, besides at the beginning and at the end of the film. My crew was wild at them.

Thankfully, though, the more elaborate version of the film, which was made for Channel 4, didn't have such issues... perhaps because in the film the scenario in the UK looked much better compared to the other countries investigated. Well well!
