Bore-dom

My kingdom no more. at least not this week. I have been so busy that I have not had a chance to so much as glance at my blog... Not feeling very creative today. Whatever comes to mind are like precipitates of some previous thoughts...here are some things I have observed and have not written so far...
1) In a crowd every time someone looks at his watch you tend to look at yours
2) Guys somehow fiddle with their belts when they see a good looking girl walkking towards them
3) Look into some shiny surface and you find yourself smoothing your hair.

Just read what I have written. Man am i working hard or what???
I need to cool off.....

Whew! What a week

What a week this has been. Been working such long hours lately. Using home as just a lodging.
Somehow the long hours have proved to enjoyable in a twisted sort of way.
The good part about this week was that onthe weekend i visisted Hogannekal falls. Still wondering how to spell this 'cause every district on the way had their own new spelling.
The ride was decided upon by clifton and me on saturday night at 10:30. managed to get up by 6:00 am on Sunday though I had a late night(1:00 am). The weather was very good for a ride. Left the office, where we met up by around 8:00 and reached Hosur at 8:40.

Hey this is getting boring isn't it. I think I am going to skip all this blah blah blah bout how nice the road was,the village girls were, the weather and other blah blahs ..
Overall enjoyed riding every one of thos 350 km's.

Am I short of patience or what. I seem to ust get bored in the middle of my writings......

The Heist

" Get your hands off that alarm B****"
Why the hell do these people have to try and be heroes? Why can't they do what they are told?
"Now keep your hands where I can see them. What are you staring at me for? Now fill that bag with all that money."
Ha ha. with this mask on, she'll never recognize me. She looks pretty nice though. Ok that's enough distraction for now.
" And all the rest of you, as long as you keep yourself pressed to the floor you can be sure you are all going home fine"
Man I have had it with this life. I just don't want to run anymore. If only I had gotten some education, my life would have been like these blokes lying on the ground here. Why did I have to run away from school? And the street taught me all that I didn't need. Actually I needed all those skills to survive. Ironically that is what keeping me alive today.Bit of bad luck though, getting caught back when I was at that other posh bank 4 years ago.And prison definitely was not a welcome change. That was when I knew I did not want to carry on living like this anymore. The others would not understand my anguish on visiting days. I never had any visitors. All my acquaintances were limited to a gig I was doing at that time. They would then share the loot and part ways.
No. I definitely want to settle down. No more crime.
" Hey you fatboy keep your head down if you want to continue seeing life tomorrow"
Whew! that was close. Lost concentration for just a second and that fat guy there had almost got away with his bravery.I better concentrate on this gig, especially if it is gonna be my last one.I guess I should be able to invest all this money in a nice city where nobody has heard of me.Getting married at this age might be a problem. Well, the money should definitely take care of that.Oh no there I go again. dreaming is not good now.
Hey! Why's taking this lady so long.

" Give me that bag now and get down on the floor"
"Nobody move and nobody gets hurt. Hey you start counting to 500. Loudly."
" Anybody moving before he gets to 500 loses their head. GOT it. Louder, fatboy"

Ah! Freedom at last. Now just keep your cool. Ditch the mask and walk like everything's normal.
Passed the corner safely. Now I just need to get to the bus-stand across the road and I should be safe.No more running after this. When is this blasted signal gonna turn to green?
Ah! just a few more steps now.

"Hey you watch out for that lorry"
" AAAAAAH"

Slayism's

No that's not a typo. That is one of my latest creations. It is very simple(as all my creations go).

Here is the recipe:
Take 1 well known Saying(proverb/phrase).
Take some word/s out.
Add some new words.
Derive new meaning.
Serve with a lot of confidence and wry smile.
Wait for audience reaction.
Take a bow.

My patent is still pending and royalties can be directed to this acoount in the SWISS royal bank, Geneva:5585855135968-888090.
The above advise may be ignored. It wll however help you in getting to know your plastic surgeon better.

Here are a few examples.
1) Two heads are better than one,but not if both are dumb.
2) People who jump from tall buildings usually jump to conclusions.
3) People living in glass houses should change clothes only at night.
4) People with their feet firmly on the ground have trouble putting their pants on.
4) Life is a sexually transmitted disease.
5) Living on earth is expensive but it includes a free trip around the sun.
6) Where there is a will there are too many relatives.
7) Early to bed , early to rise. Your wife's missing because your neighbour is wise.
8) On the other hand, you have more fingers.

By now you get the drift I guess.

GRRRRRRR

When I started this blog i thought i would write in it as often as i would. Somehow it seems like a distant possiblity now. The creative juices just don't flow when you want them to. This must be what writer's block feels like. I have some plots for short stories doing the rounds in my head. I somehow do not have any proper ending for those. It is pretty frustrating to have something like this swimming around in your head.Grrrrr...
Hopefully these plots will see the light of day soon.

guess I need to go for a ride soon and that should help me feel beter.
Ah! this blog is serving me a new purpose now... a sandbag for my emotions. Maybe I should keep the title of " looking glass" after all..
don't feel like raving and ranting anymore. This much has helped me feel better already.

Here is another story to silence my critics...
This is also an award winning story. This made it to the Baghdad times.
Again I lost out due to Saddam's trial around the release of this publication.
Funny, all my literary achievements receive their accolades in times of great oppression.
I beeter post my story now, since the above line has sapped all my creative juices....

Zipping through the streets the world outside seemed like a blur to him.All he could think of was her smiling face. He knew she would be at the church now. Waiting. He just had to tell her how much he loved her. All his love for her seemed to be pushing him towards her now. Caught in this reveire he did not see the light turning red at the last minute, nor did he see the truck that was seemingly aimed at him. He looked up sudenly, but......
She was starting to get angry now. She knew Steve was always late, but today he would have no excuse. This was the most important day of her life. How could he treat it like any other day of his life. After all it was their wedding day. She peeped into the church and saw the people gathered there. They too seemed anxious now. She could not help thinking of how Steve had been late even for their first date. But, he had that amazing charm of his which had swept her off her feet. Love at first sight. How true that was in her case. She smiled to herself thinking of how she had gone weak in the knees on seeing him at her friend's party. She had pestered John to get them intoduced. It had been a whirlwind of an affair. She still loved him as much as she did on that first day. The only thing that angered her was his habit of being late wherever he went. Another smile spread across her face thinking of his encounter with her dad. He had as usual been late even there. Her dad was at his wit's end waiting but his amazing charm had taken care of that too.Now all she wanted was for him to come on time. Her anger was starting to change into worry now.
A lot of people had started to crowd around the car,or, what was left of the car. It contanied the bloodied body of a well dressed man. Among the crowd was a woman dressed up in her bridal wear. Next to her stood a tall good looking young man. She was crying on his shoulder and in betweens sobs Steve heard her say, " John was such a careful driver. I wonder what went wrong"... Fortunately, she would never know...
