Ankahee...

After watching Ankahee.. Someday. I hope i meet Vikram Bhat..i'm gonna make sure that i can get my money back!! & twice over for this excuse of a movie.. hardly a wonder that lots of people left mid-way..all of them must have gone in search of Somebody to beat up in lieu of Vikram Bhatt.. C & me are lucky to get away unscathed after recommending this & dragging V & S to the multiplex..
The story is very arth'ish.. the other woman factor looming large..Somewhere down the line it felt like Bhatt was justifying his stand.. & not a very convincing one at that.. the acting is just passable..Amisha is either all sugar coated..or glycerine-coated..both too much to digest.. Aftab has three expressions & variations of that throughout themovie.. Esha is maybe just a tad ahead of the others..the wide psychotic look maybe helped..
The story could have been treated much better..with some more intelligent dialogues to hold the audience's interest...Sadly this department has been the one that has let us down miserably..The dialogues are as unimaginative as they get.. the arguments by aftab & easha were as far from convincing as possible. it was difficult not to wince at some of the poorly writen lines..
It looks like there was not a lot of effort that went into the making of ankahee.. watch it closely & you can see that continuity of the sets has gone out the window.. one of the scenes has a telephone that is not wired!! All excusable if the story had been worth it..
The saving grace though has to be the music.. an amazing score & superb rendering of "tumse yu milenge.." by Kunal Ganjawala.. just can't get this song out of my head.. wish the movie had been half as good.. But a lesson well learnt.. don't judge a movie by its promo!!
