Here is another story to silence my critics...
This is also an award winning story. This made it to the Baghdad times.
Again I lost out due to Saddam's trial around the release of this publication.
Funny, all my literary achievements receive their accolades in times of great oppression.
I beeter post my story now, since the above line has sapped all my creative juices....

Zipping through the streets the world outside seemed like a blur to him.All he could think of was her smiling face. He knew she would be at the church now. Waiting. He just had to tell her how much he loved her. All his love for her seemed to be pushing him towards her now. Caught in this reveire he did not see the light turning red at the last minute, nor did he see the truck that was seemingly aimed at him. He looked up sudenly, but......
She was starting to get angry now. She knew Steve was always late, but today he would have no excuse. This was the most important day of her life. How could he treat it like any other day of his life. After all it was their wedding day. She peeped into the church and saw the people gathered there. They too seemed anxious now. She could not help thinking of how Steve had been late even for their first date. But, he had that amazing charm of his which had swept her off her feet. Love at first sight. Another smile spread across her face thinking of his encounter with her dad. He had as usual been late even there. Her dad was at his wit's end waiting but his amazing charm had taken care of that too.Now all she wanted was for him to come on time. Her anger was starting to change into worry now.
A lot of people had started to crowd around the car,or, what was left of the car. It contanied the bloodied body of a well dressed man. Among the crowd was a woman dressed up in her bridal wear. Next to her stood a tall good looking young man. She was crying on his shoulder and in betweens sobs Steve heard her say, " John was such a careful driver. I wonder what went wrong"... Fortunately, she would never know...
